Service Charges 

Residential Connectors - charge is based upon average water use during the months of January through March as reflected by the records of the Water Providers for the preceding year.

(1)Single Family Unit$31.00 plus $5.00 per 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof over 6,000 gallon minimum.
(2)Multiple Dwelling
Connected to a Single Meter		$31.00 times the number of units connected to the meter plus $5.00 per 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof in excess of 6,000 gallons times the number of units connected to the meter per month.

 

Non-Residential Connectors - charge is based upon actual water usage for the prior month as reflected by the records of the Water Providers.

(1)Each Connection$31.00 plus $5.00 per 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof over the 6,000 gallon minimum
(2)Non-Residential Connectors which contribute sewage into the District‚s facilities having a strength greater than the average sewer strength of 175 B.O.D., 200 P.P.M. S.S. and less than 5 pH shall pay for such excess strength at the rates charged to the District by the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District. All costs of monitoring and sampling shall be paid by the connector.

These Rules and Regulations.

Fruitdale is required to collect the connection fee charged by the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District in addition to its own connection fee.

When a change in the use of a property requires a larger connection fee, the owner shall receive credit for the existing connection in the amount of the current

connection fee applicable to the use prior to the change.

NOTE:  Intensive Use Charges may be due in addition to connection fees.  See § 4.07 of the Rules and Regulations.

Tax Exempt Connectors

Tax Exempt Connectors - All connectors whose property is not subject to the mill levies of the District shall pay a supplemental annual service charge in an amount to be determined by the Board of Directors. The determination shall be based upon the application of the District's mill levy to the average assessed valuation of the single family residential equivalents contained in the tax exempt connector's facilities. The average assessed valuation per unit shall be determined by dividing the number of single family residential equivalents in the District into the assessed valuation of the entire District.
